We’re Back is the underrated one. Steven Spielberg produced it, John Goodman voices Rex the T-Rex, and it came out in 1993 in a rough spot — sandwiched between Nightmare Before Christmas and The Sandlot during a particularly crowded fall. It never got the recognition it deserved. Three kids’ titles in EP mode on a single 6-hour tape is a very specific kind of 1998 household archaeology. Someone was doing something practical and left behind exactly the kind of tape the archive exists to preserve.
This one has not been streamed yet. It sits in the Sunbury Collection unplayed, still holding whatever the original owner put there. No commercial breaks expected — likely dubbed or cable-recorded movie content rather than off-air with ads. Still, the tape is worth opening.
