Tape VHS-2026-005 is a commercial release blooper compilation covering football, snowskiing, golf, boogie boarding, bungee jumping, auto racing, rodeo, basketball, baseball, and hockey. The 90s had a formula for these: pile every sport into one tape, print it cheap, put it on a spinner rack.
The Tape
Condition: Good. SP mode. Runtime unknown. The label inconsistency — Bloopermania on the cassette, different title on the cover — suggests this might be a reused or repackaged tape from another release. The "Special Value" sticker is still on the cover.
What’s On It
Sports falls, fumbles, crashes, and near-misses across ten disciplines. The production aesthetic is exactly what the cover promises — bright, cheap, loud. These tapes were everywhere in the early 90s and nobody held onto them. This one still has its original cover art.
Archive Verdict
Common format. Wide distribution. Low lost-media value. But as a physical object — the label mismatch, the Special Value sticker, the rainbow cover design — it’s a clean example of exactly what the budget VHS market looked like in the early 90s.
