The Prince of Egypt: Home Taping, Late 1990s

The tape has no label. Someone recorded The Prince of Egypt off a TV broadcast in the late 1990s, kept the tape, and didn’t bother writing anything on it. The sleeve is JVC T-120 SX, red and gold. That’s all the identification there is.

The movie itself is widely available — DreamWorks released it on home video, it’s been on streaming for years. What isn’t available is whatever aired around it. The commercials, the network promos, the local bumpers from that specific night. That’s the tape.

Pre-2000 broadcast recordings with intact ad breaks are getting harder to find. Networks don’t archive the filler. Nobody saved the commercials. This is a JVC T-120 SX at 360-minute capacity, condition good, contents unverified until we open it.

Not yet streamed.
