Festival of Flowers — A Four-Minute Souvenir Tape from the Biltmore Estate

Not every tape in the archive is six hours of tornado coverage or a missing military documentary. Sometimes it’s four minutes. This one is four minutes.

What Is This Thing

VHS-2025-045 is a commercial release souvenir tape. SP speed. Clamshell case with printed artwork. Includes an original insert. Runtime: approximately four minutes.

Short promotional and souvenir tapes from attractions and estates are an unusual category. Most people threw them out. The ones that survive are generally in private collections, occasionally turning up at thrift stores or estate sales. This one came through the archive intake process sometime in 2025.

Format Notes

The tape itself is in good condition. Recorded in SP mode, which for a four-minute piece suggests the production valued playback quality. The original clamshell packaging and insert are intact, which is uncommon for a piece like this.
