About This Tape
Woodhaven Entertainment put out a series of nature tapes for kids in the 1990s under the Cute and Cuddly Critters label. This one is titled Wild Puppy’s and Other Baby Animals, filmed by wildlife photographer Bill Porter Sr. in mountain terrain.
Runtime is approximately 25 minutes. At SP speed on a 120-minute tape, that leaves a lot of blank tape at the end.
Animals documented: wild horses, elk, grizzly bears, bison, prairie dogs, Canadian geese, trumpeter swans, bald eagles, sandhill cranes. Full mountain wildlife sampling. The back cover calls it a “lighthearted romp,” which is accurate as far as it goes.
Woodhaven Entertainment had limited distribution. Other titles in the series show up on old Best Buy listings. This specific volume — the one with the apostrophe error — is harder to find online. Not a major preservation situation, but a small-label release from a distributor that did not have the reach of the major nature video companies.
Tape is in good condition. Suitable for all ages, per the sleeve.
