Craig’s notes
The handwritten label names three Lupin the Third Part 1 episodes. We got all three, and then the tape kept going. At least two more episodes were on there.
This is a January 1986 Hiroshima Television rebroadcast, with its breaks still around the show. There are ramen ads and what the notes call a camera ad. Then Hiroshima Television offers to deliver Valentine chocolate to someone special, with Lotte sponsoring. A Toshiba concert ad mentions the 1986 Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra. The Valentine delivery pitch is what I wouldn’t have known to expect from the label.
On this tape
Episode 6: 「雨の午後はヤバイゼ」 (Rainy Afternoons Are Trouble)
During or near this block, the viewing notes list these ads:
- Hot dog product (tentative).
- Instant ramen spot.
- Chocolate-cone product (tentative).
- Camera advertisement (tentative).
- Second instant ramen spot.
- Beauty product.
- Toshiba Concert ad for the 1986 Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra.
Station promotion: Hiroshima Television’s Valentine chocolate-delivery offer, sponsored by Lotte.
Episode 7: 「狼は狼を呼ぶ」 (A Wolf Calls to a Wolf)
Episode 8: 「全員集合トランプ作戦」 (Everybody Assemble: The Playing-Card Operation)
After episode 8, an Asataro microcomputer/boiler advertisement appears; the precise break boundary is not established.
Two additional episodes
The tape continues into at least two more Lupin the Third Part 1 episodes, neither identified by title. A Kukure Curry ad appears around the first additional episode.
About this recording
