NASCAR’s Greatest Finishes and Closest Calls Vol. 2 (1995, Sealed)

This tape is still sealed. I streamed it. I did not open it. The shrink wrap is intact.

About This Tape

NASCAR’s Greatest Finishes and Closest Calls Vol. 2 is from the NASCAR Video Collector’s Series, released in 1995. One hundred twenty minutes. The tape arrived in excellent condition and has never been played. The original shrink wrap is still on it.

Based on the cover, here is what is supposedly inside:

  • 1995 Daytona 500 — Earnhardt working through the field, falling short to Sterling Marlin
  • 1992 Hooters 500 at Atlanta — Richard Petty’s final race, Alan Kulwicki’s championship and the Polish Victory Lap (his last race before dying in a plane crash a few months later)
  • 1995 Winston Select at Charlotte — Jeff Gordon’s first NASCAR win over Waltrip and Earnhardt
  • 1976 Daytona 500 — Pearson and Petty tangling on the last lap, Pearson limping to the finish with Petty stalled 60 feet short
  • 1979 Daytona 500 — Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison fighting on the track and in the infield
  • 1993 Winston 500 at Talladega — Rusty Wallace’s end-over-end crash, breaks only a wrist

All of those races are well-documented and available elsewhere. This specific compilation doesn’t appear to exist digitally. It turns up on eBay as physical VHS but nowhere as a rip or stream.

The tape stays sealed for now.
