Rock’N’Mold Stones Instructional Video (Siroflex of America)

The tape ends with tips displayed in white text on a black screen. Then the words “HAPPY ROCKING” appear. Then music plays. The music keeps playing. Nobody stopped it. They just let it go.

Lost Media

I can not find this video anywhere online. No archive.org copy, no YouTube rip, nothing. Siroflex of America, Inc. out of Van Nuys, California does not appear to have left much of a digital footprint. If you have seen this one floating around somewhere, let me know.

About This Tape

This is the instructional video for the Rock N Mold system by Siroflex of America, Inc. out of Van Nuys, California. The pitch: you can make your own faux cobblestone paths and patios using molds, concrete mix, and this video. Forty cents a foot. “The elegance of cobblestones is now affordable.”

It looks like it was shot on a home camcorder. The production is what it is. But the information is real — it walks through the mold system step by step, shows you the mix ratios, and tells you what to do when you have a drier mix. (Less water is a more dry mix.)

The ending is the part that stays with you. Tips appear on screen over a black background. Then “HAPPY ROCKING.” Then the music comes in. The music does not stop. The tape eventually just runs out.
