Craig’s notes
The tape label promises the secret to making a million dollars in five years or less. I thought I might be in for a pyramid scheme or a big motivational pitch. Instead an introduction explained futures and options trading, and Ryan Jones started talking about a trading plan. There was an old computer monitor built into the set that caught my eye. His delivery did not. He teased two words that apparently put traders to sleep and waited to tell us what they were.
The first part of the plan was where to get in and where to get out. Entry signal, exit signal. Next came how much of an account to risk on each trade, with examples of raising or lowering the amount. I kept waiting for the promised secret while he kept asking questions. When the two words finally arrived, they were 'money management.' He also distinguished that from 'trade management.' By then I'd called it really friggin boring, and I meant it.
I didn't watch the entire course. What I saw was a dry trading lesson with a very large claim on its label, not proof that the promised money could be made.
On this tape
- Trading plan: entry and exit signals.
- Money management, trade management and risk per trade.
About the program
SUCCESS: The Final Strategies, Basic Course Volume 1, carries a claim about making $1 million in five years or less. The photographed tape label names presenter Ryan Jones and Futures Learning Center. I watched part of it April 14, 2026; a substantial section was fast-forwarded.
