Royal Langnickel and DecoArt put Sandy Aubuchon on a 1994 instructional tape with three painting demonstrations: backgrounds and fabrics, Russian decorative painting with acrylics, and Russian Zhostovo painting.
Aubuchon uses DecoArt products and a Sandy Suretouch brush. When she needs viewers to remember the shape of a hatchet brush, she brings up Henry VIII and the wives who had their heads chopped off. That is the mnemonic. It is hard to argue with it.
The tape was streamed March 4, 2026. It is a lot of decorative painting. She gets through it with a recurring “push push push,” and so did we.
