UPN 43 WUAB Cleveland – Star Trek Voyager and More (Feb 1997)

Someone in Cleveland recorded six hours of UPN 43 on a Wednesday night in February 1997. They hit record, walked away, and left behind a near-perfect snapshot of what late 90s local television looked like on a network that nobody was watching on purpose.

WUAB was Cleveland’s UPN affiliate. February 1997 meant one thing in prime time: Star Trek. Voyager was in its third season, airing Wednesday nights, and whoever owned this tape caught three episodes back to back. The Burning Zone followed, then The Bodyguard. Six hours total on a T-120.

The content itself is findable. Voyager episodes have been catalogued and archived. The Burning Zone had a short run but it exists. What doesn’t exist anywhere online are the Northeast Ohio commercial breaks from that night. Local businesses, regional chains, dealerships that have been gone for twenty years. That’s the tape.

Condition is good. This came out of the Sunbury Collection. It has not been streamed.
