VHS-2025-010 is an RCA T-120 SHX — a six-hour tape, recorded in 2011, well into the era when almost nobody was doing this anymore. DVRs had been around for a decade. Streaming existed. Whoever owned this tape still had a VCR running and still had a reason to hit record. That reason was Kyra, weather, and elections.
2011 local TV news doesn’t get preserved. Stations cycle through their footage. Nobody archives the weather segment from a random Tuesday in 2011. This tape might be the only copy of whatever it has on it. We won’t know until it’s open.
