Meltdown at Three Mile Island

This is a 1999 PBS Home Video release of American Experience’s Three Mile Island documentary. It covers the 1979 accident near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, using news footage and interviews from the people around it.

The tape is a commercial release in a cardboard sleeve, not an off-air recording. No local commercials wandered in from a station break. PBS Home Video put the whole thing on a sixty-minute tape and called it a day.

It was written and produced by Chana Gazit, co-produced and edited by David Steward, and narrated by Liev Schreiber. David McCullough hosts the series. The tape was streamed March 11, 2026.
