Jurassic Park came out in 1993 and became one of the highest-grossing films ever made. The VHS release sold millions of copies. It landed in video rental stores, then it landed in homes, then it landed in donation bins, and here it is.
There is no lost media angle here. It streams on Peacock. It has been on Blu-ray, 4K, every format. The physical VHS is purely a physical object at this point — the version you grew up with, on the format you grew up with.
