Kate / Westphal: Multiple Recordings

The handwriting on the label is partially illegible. That's already more interesting than a clean label.

Tape VHS-2025-023 came in with multiple entries scratched out in someone's handwriting — a name that looks like Kate, something that reads Westphal, and additional text that doesn't resolve cleanly no matter how long you stare at it. Someone sat down at their VCR and recorded things they cared about enough to label. What those things were is still a question.

This is exactly the kind of tape the archive exists for. No barcode, no studio, no spine art — just a person's handwriting and 360 minutes of whatever they thought was worth keeping.

The Tape

A Fuji T-120 HQ cassette stored inside a Universal SHG Hi-Fi sleeve. The sleeve says "Lifetime Warranty." The cassette inside is from a different brand entirely — a swap that happened somewhere between the recording and the thrift store shelf. Condition is good. Capacity is 360 minutes in EP mode.
