Sylvia K. Ortiz is a National Fitness Consultant out of Whittier, California. The tape claims NASA rates rebounding as 68% more efficient than jogging. That stat has been circulating in rebounder marketing since the 1980s and everybody who sells one cites it. The tape goes all in. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, all on a mini-trampoline, all in a bright 1990 production with the kind of wardrobe choices you would expect.
Over 10 million rebounders sold nationwide, per the cover. (I’m sure that’s an accurate number.)
About This Tape
Produced by Fit For You International out of Whittier, California in 1990. Thirty-eight minutes. Three skill levels. Full workout from warmup through cooldown, all on a circular mini-trampoline. Sylvia K. Ortiz brings a straightforward, no-nonsense energy to the whole thing. The set design is aggressively cheerful.
The rebounder fitness market had its moment in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Mini-trampolines showed up in infomercials, fitness centers, and garages across the country. This tape was part of that wave.
