The Ultimate Line Dance Reference Video (Scooter Lee Enterprizes)

The back cover lists the health benefits of line dancing: reduces stress, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol, increases energy, improves strength. Then: “It’s friendly and social.” “You don’t need a partner.” “Age is not a factor.” “No special clothes needed.” “Fun for the whole family.” That is a lot of reassurance for a dance video.

About This Tape

The Ultimate Line Dance Reference Video was produced by Scooter Lee Enterprizes and taught by Jo Thompson, who hosted CMT Dance Ranch. The format is a reference guide rather than a step-by-step course. It covers 49 individual line dance steps — the building blocks that appear across multiple dances — plus four complete beginner dances: the Cowboy Charleston, Rita’s Waltz, the Electric Slide, and Twist ’em.

The idea is that you learn the vocabulary first, then apply it. It’s a legitimate approach. Also a boring one.

The tape is the physical VHS. It’s listed on Amazon but there’s no digital version online that I could find.
